The Boy Came Back. The Mystery Came With Him.

Tim vanished from an Idaho forest at fourteen. Twenty years later, he returned without aging, carrying a warm yellow cube and a backpack filled with objects that did not belong to his world.

His older brother Steven wants answers. Rabbit knows more than he admits. Bear has been sent to retrieve what escaped. And Agent Carter’s department has already started watching.

A Story 28 Years in the Making

Stuffed Creatures began as a tiny student-film idea and kept growing until it became a universe too large to contain on camera.

1998

The First Rabbit

A two-minute short film made for a high-school video-tech class introduced the original killer-rabbit idea.

2008

The Story Returns

Ten years later, the idea became a ten-minute family-made movie created simply for fun.

2012

The World Expands

A twenty-minute sequel greatly expanded the characters, conflict, and mythology.

2025

Stuffed Creatures 3

More than 200 hours and over $1,000 went into a fifty-plus-minute third film ending on a cliffhanger designed to lead into Parts 4 and 5.

Today

The Six-Book Saga

The entire universe, including everything after the film cliffhanger, is being reimagined as a six-book science-fiction mystery series.

Original Family Film

Watch Stuffed Creatures 3

Curious about the screen version that helped shape the books? The fifty-plus-minute homemade family film is available on YouTube.

A homemade family hobby film preserved as part of the series’ creative history. The novels are the polished, greatly expanded version of this universe.

The films are the beginning, not the finished books.

These movies were homemade family hobby projects created for fun with tiny budgets, borrowed locations, and plenty of improvisation. They are part of the history of Stuffed Creatures, but they are not intended to represent the production quality, tone, or full scope of the novels.

The six-book series rebuilds and greatly expands the mythology with deeper characters, a larger world, and the story I could never fully capture on camera.

A homemade family film created for fun and preserved as part of the Stuffed Creatures origin story. The novels are a new, polished, and greatly expanded version of this universe.
