A storybook in a flutter
Paper trees, a river, a folded hill—and an ending that refuses to stay put.
The world of Blot · Grace Matthews Books
Meet Blot. Two tiny feet, a wobbly black line, and a whole storybook of possibilities.
When a new friend’s ending blows away, this little drop of ink has a very big reason to follow it.
A picture-book adventure for ages 4–8.
A companion drawing game for ages 6+.
Small enough to fit on a page
Blot has only just arrived in a storybook. He doesn’t have a place in the story yet—but Fox needs him. Sometimes that’s all the beginning you need.
With a little imagination and a line that can become something useful, Blot discovers what he can do, and where he belongs.
The picture book · By Grace Matthews
Fox’s home is on the last page.
But the last page is flying away.
Blot and Fox chase it through a paper forest, across a blue river, and up a folded hill. The wind keeps changing the plan. Blot keeps finding another way.
Warm, playful, and made for reading aloud, Blot and the Missing Ending is a story about helping someone you’ve only just met—and finding a place to belong along the way.

For grown-ups
The book and the game are separate adventures. Enjoy either on its own, or meet Blot on the page and then try a few ideas together on screen.
The book is intended for ages 4–8 and for the grown-ups who read with them. Its short read-aloud text pairs a playful chase with friendship, kindness, and belonging.
The game shares Blot’s character and paper-and-ink spirit. It offers its own drawing and physics challenges rather than replaying the picture book’s story.
Blot is designed for ages 6+ through adults. It includes difficulty choices, optional ads, and an optional purchase when available. Local play needs no account. Community access is restricted by age, and younger players’ creations stay local. See WonderRivet’s Blot privacy page and family support guidance for details.
